MARGOT MERCIER

Registered Social Worker

Margot is a registered social worker who holds a Masters Degree in Social Work. She believes that effective therapy starts with an attuned and compassionate relationship between client and therapist. Margot offers support to clients struggling with relationship challenges, life transitions, body image issues, disordered eating, anxiety, burnout, grief, and mood difficulties.

Margot uses a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach, drawing from various styles of therapy, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Narrative Therapy. She is also in the process of completing trauma processing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Margot’s passion lies in helping clients to learn how to support themselves with kindness to uncover the parts of self that may be holding them back from personal growth and goals. She believes that everyone has strengths and helps her clients to connect with their own gifts and inner resources to live more whole-hearted lives.
